WWF-Singapore:
Building Nature’s Legacy
Nestled at Ayer Rajah, WWF Singapore’s office embodies mindful renewal and collective resolve. Delivered by build specialist Ngee Koon in close partnership with LFA Studio and local talent, the space reinterprets nature’s resilience through a contemporary, budget-conscious lens—beginning with what endures.
Inspired by circular principles and the poetry of reuse, the design salvaged workstations, loose furniture, and aircon units from the client’s former office, allowing existing assets to anchor a vision of sustainability. From the organic fluted logo wall at reception—crafted from agricultural waste—to the tactile cork showcase opposite, every surface tells a story of transformation.
Open and intuitively zoned, the floorplan flows freely, guided by carpets from recycled and renewable fibres. Acoustic ceilings and suspended panels, spun from 100% polyester derived from plastic bottles, soften echoes while honouring reclaimed materials. A nature-infused palette of warm beige, earthy brown, and tranquil blue mirrors surrounding greenery, drawing the workspace into harmony with its context. The pantry—with wood-toned floors, woven lamp shades, and salvaged high tables with stools—invites pause and connection.
At its heart, the office nurtures human-centric focus. Carpet zoning delineates work areas without barriers; collaborative zones blend warmth and function. The design attends meticulously to acoustics, tactility, and biophilic cues—essentials for a space that feels alive and enduring.
This narrative extends through collaboration: Ngee Koon joined LFA Studio and 10 Singaporean partners— Benel Singapore (phone booth), C&R Interiors (system furniture), ipse ipsa ipsum (logo and donor walls), Interface Singapore & Contrac-Image (carpets), JAG Engineering (aircon, lighting, electrical, plumbing), JMI Texwerkz (vinyl flooring), Koncept Kreation (pantry fittings), Millennium 3 Building Products (server room carpets), Panelogue (display wall and panels), Pepperwall (acoustic panels). Together, these 12 voices layered warm woods, woven textures, and acoustic finesse into a haven that celebrates shared roots.
We drew on every trusted supplier, forged over years. From scant resources, we shaped something profound—affordable, exceptional, and alive with purpose.
